Douvres-la-Délivrande. Olmix, a Breton company, is interested in our coastal seaweed

The initiative. Last summer, a number of residents from the Côte de Nacre coast were dissatisfied with the accumulation of rotting seaweed on the beaches of many coastal towns

Overwhelmed by the sheer quantity of seaweed, local mayors and councillors were short of a solution. Yet, our seaweed could well be destined for a fine environmental future for, late August, the councils in Bernières-sur-Mer, Langrune-sur-Mer and Luc-sur-Mer were contacted by Olmix. The company, based in Bréhan in Morbihan since 1995, collects and transforms seaweed from Brittany and Vendée for use, in particular, for animal health. https://www.olmix.com/fr
