The success story of French fries, made in Orne

When they came from France's Nord region to set up business in Courtomer in Orne, they were far from imagining that their farm business, specialising in potato growing, would meet with such great success with its highly popular fresh French fries

Report. Today, at the EARL La Bonneville, the race is on, with a weekly production of around four tonnes of vacuum packed French fries and five tonnes sold in 10 to 25kg net bags. Mr and Mrs Roussel are currently developing 2.5 and 5kg net bags of washed potatoes to satisfy demand from supermarkets. The company's total annual production is in the region of 5 to 600 tonnes. http://www.pommes-de-terre-roussel.com/
